Bailey first began practicing yoga in 2007 shortly after moving to NYC.  Using her practice as a way to escape a hectic city lifestyle, it wasn’t long before noticing the internal and external transformation that began to take place in her life.  She spent the following 5 years deepening her relationship with her practice and studying many different styles and teachers.  In 2012 with a drive to share her passion and practice she went to India to complete her first teacher training.

Certified at the RYT-200 level Bailey pulls from many styles to share her personal practice.  Her vinyasa style classes are based in strength, inviting each student to challenge themselves to their full potential.  She weaves together the physical practice of asana and yoga philosophy aiming to use the body as a tool to find more strength and balance in the mind and off of the mat.

I was 16 years old living in St George, Utah the first time I walked into a yoga class. It was in that first class that I knew that I wanted to be a yoga instructor.

As life went by, I lost track of this desire, only doing little bit of yoga a few times a month. Instead, I focused on rock climbing — mostly bouldering (climbing up big rocks without a rope). A day came when I had a serious fall — breaking both of my ankles at the same time!

I was bound to either crawl, be carried, or use a wheelchair for 3 months. That fall brought me to Salt Lake City, Utah where I met a local yoga instructor. He reminded me of my forgotten passion and desire to become an instructor and encouraged me to attend my first yoga teacher training.

I have since been teaching in the Salt Lake City area and one studio in Boulder, CO. There are many things that I love about yoga — one being that anybody can do it and that the “the actual practice of yoga takes each person in a different direction.”

Through intentional breath and conscious movement, our head, heart, and body can move as one, coming into union and when in union with oneself, true authentic expression can be found.

When I’m not in a yoga studio you can find me climbing up some rocks and doing the other things I love — oil painting or riding my motorcycle around town in bright red cowboy boots.

I am a climbing ambassador for MadRock,  a yoga ambassador for Jade Yoga and a certified 500E-RYT yoga instructor. In 2010 I received my 500-hour certificate from In Body Academy, 200-hour from Peter Francyk 2011, and another 500-hour with Charlotte Bell, and Peter Francyk in 2013.

I went to my first Ana Forrest, Advanced teacher training in 2014. I completed a a 5-day training in 2015 with Seane Corn and in 2016 I completed my second Ana Forrest Advanced training. I’ve had the blessing to attend workshops with other so many knowledgeable yogis and I have every intention to keep adding to my training.

Sammy has been studying yoga and eastern philosophy since he was 12 years old and  has grown up around praticing yoga and meditation. He has studied such schools as Iyengar, Hatha, Ashtanga. Sammy recently spent the past five years traveling to and living in Mysore India where he studied Ashtanga Yoga at KPJAYI under R. Sharath Jois the grandson of Sri K.  Patabbi Jois and is happy to be part of a direct lineage that is traceable to T. Krishnamacharya. On his 2013 trip he received his level 2 authorization to teach Ashtanga. He has also studied under other senior teachers such as Tim Miller, and John Friend while continuing an ongoing study with Richard Freeman.  Sammy has completed a 300 hour Yoga Therapy course in northern California at the Ananda Seva Ashram and continues to study Ayurveda, alignment, anatomy and both eastern and western philosophy. Sammy is an E-RYT500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor with emphasis in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Yoga Therapy.
